About Me

Hello fashion enthusiasts, my name is Jenici Parton, and I am the author and creator of IkoniQ Style. Fashion has always been more than clothing to me…it has been my primary form of expression, creativity, and connection. I am a fashion creative, stylist, costume designer, entrepreneur, and two-time fashion business graduate whose work spans runway influence, concert style, theatrical design, cosplay, and everyday wear. I am also a mother and lifelong learner who believes style is a powerful language. Creating has always come instinctively to me, and fashion remains my strongest form of communication. IkoniQ Style is where experience, education, and creativity meet.

What Fuels My Passion

IkoniQ Style was born from both necessity and passion. As a child, creativity became a refuge during years shaped by abuse, and later served as a lifeline through domestic violence in adulthood. Designing allowed me to reclaim control, identity, and hope by creating beauty where none existed. What began as survival slowly transformed into purpose and resilience. Fashion became the anchor that helped me fight forward rather than surrender. That journey ultimately evolved into IkoniQ Style.

Today, as a single mother raising an autistic child, balance and presence guide my choices. Fashion blogging allows me to remain deeply connected to the industry while building a flexible, sustainable life. This platform exists to share insight and inspiration without sacrificing authenticity or time.

My Journey

My creative journey began at six or seven years old when I made my first Daisy Mae costume from cut jean shorts and a hand-marked T-shirt. That moment sparked a lifelong love for creating. As my skills grew, I founded Designs by Jenici, a home-based business focused on costuming and custom design. This work led directly to my role as head costume designer for Raycliff Manor, a traveling Victorian-style haunted attraction. There, I refined my sewing, construction, and theatrical design skills in a professional setting.

That chapter ended abruptly when the Joplin EF5 tornado destroyed the haunt and claimed the lives of people I deeply cared about. In the aftermath, I returned fully to my business and continued creating for a global clientele. Alongside entrepreneurship, I pursued higher education to expand my understanding of fashion across creative and commercial spaces. Today, I blend lived experience with academic insight through fashion blogging, trend analysis, and storytelling.

My Expertise

I earned an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from OTC in Springfield, Missouri, graduating with double honors and making the Provost’s List. My studies in theatre, history, art, and music shaped my understanding of fashion as culture, performance, and visual storytelling. I am now earning my Bachelor of Business Administration in the Business of Fashion from LIM College in New York City, making me a two-time fashion business graduate. My education focuses on the commercial side of fashion, including design, merchandising, marketing, product development, and sustainability. This foundation has been strengthened through internships, industry mentorship, and hands-on collaboration with fashion professionals.

My academic work has been recognized through Dean’s and Provost’s Lists, lifetime membership in Phi Theta Kappa, and meaningful relationships with industry leaders. Alongside education, I bring over a decade of entrepreneurial experience through Designs by Jenici and several years as a head costume designer for a nationally traveling haunt. My strengths include designing, styling, trend interpretation, trend forecasting, fashion history, creative direction, and brand storytelling.
